Frustrated by Print Shop 23's problems under Windows 7, I ordered The Print Shop Deluxe 3.0 direct from Broderbund. The redesign efforts are wonderful; it acts like a Windows 7 native. Except for a few things:
In windows 7 64-bit, it crashes about 3 or 4 times per hour. Even something as simple as "start a new project from scratch" can make it crash. I never did bring even one project to completion before losing it in a crash.
In Windows 7 32-bit, it does not crash ... instead it gives a spurious "out of memory" error message about 3 or 4 times per hour, and does not complete the operation. This is on a 4 GB machine with nothing else running, and only one project open!
If you use a type size of 125% or larger in Windows 7, you will not be able to see or click on the entire Print Shop screen. It erroneously assumes that it can use the space behind the system taskbar! Of course, while you may be able to see the space behind parts of the taskbar, you cannot click on it. The largest type size that sort of works in 120%.
There are also the usual assortment on random bugs in software that has been released prematurely. For example, selecting clip art or photos only works after you have selected your first photo or clip art. It takes about 5 tries before your first selection "takes"; then it works correctly about 80% of the time.
Broderbund Support is very good about letting you submit a request for Tech Support or Customer Support. Unfortunately, after two weeks, they have not responded to ANY of my four requests.
This software as of September 2011 is great for masochists. The rest of us will have to wait for the first bug fix release ... or maybe the second.

Dysfunctional Software Release 3.0
I suggest that unless you have a ton of patience, you wait until this software is debugged. It is totally dysfunctional. I purchased it on the release date of Aug 23 and have been unable to print anything from it. It crashes, locks up, and will not print. Giving it a print command closes the program and it won't start properly again without a system reboot. Broderbund/Encore made a severe mistake by releasing this software in such a poor state. They say they're working on it...but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the cure!
Lots of Bugs
Stay away from this version until they fix the bugs. Runnning Win7 on three computers, same bugs on all three. Not much support on website. Can't believe companies are putting out software and letting the users do the testing at their expense.
